| Bought the new Howa Axiom in 22-250. I didn't get the package scope. I put a bushnell elite 4200-4-16x42 on it. This thing shoots absolutely awesome. Once sighted in I can shoot 3 shot groups at 100 yds. that you can cover with a dime. I am very impressed so far. I've only put about 50 rounds through it, but as of right now I highly recommend it. |

IIRC, "Howa" makes all the Weatherby's now. If I'd have known that they were making the Vanguard's I never would have bought this thing. It must be poor quality disguised with a recognizable name. "Weatherby" is a name, not a manufacturer. They are not like Winchester, Remington, or Holland & Holland. IIRC, they have always been a "design" that is subbed to whichever contractor that agrees to build to their specs. Weatherby does not own their own manufacturing facility or machine shop. |

How about a 10 shot group? A better test of the rife and ammo if you can eliminate the "you factor". How do you like the Bushnell so far? |

I shot three, three shot groups....two were easily covered by a nickel, and the last was covered by the dime. I like the clarity of the bushnell. The only complaint I have is the eye relief is kinda sketchy at 16x. At 14x or lower it's not a problem. Just with the higher power you have to be perfect on the cheek piece to make it work. |
