Is this stuff any good? Looking for something good that is widely available. Suggestions?

Quoted: Samuel Adams does not put out ANY beer that is NOT excellent. Lolwut Their regular lager tastes like bitter crap. It's the only beer I've ever not swallowed and spit out. And that includes the warm Miller Light I had on the plane coming back to the States on leave. ![]() |

Is it GOOD? Is water WET? Is the sky BLUE? Samuel Adams does not put out ANY beer that is NOT excellent. Cherry Wheat-overly fruit flavored Cranberry Lambic-sour Blackberry Whitbeir passable, but close to the above Boston Ale-overly hopped,IMO Sam Adams Light-better than most, still a light beer Summer Ale-weak-drink water instead or just cheap adjunct lagers Pale Ale-ditto That's about the only ones I don't like though. Everything else from the Boston Brewery is a really, really good beer. I even like the otherwise nearly universally reviled Fezziwig seasonal, which every winter I am forced to drink by my New Years Eve fellow revelers, proving that there is no accounting for taste!

Quoted: Dude, I love Old Fezziwig ale! But I tell you what Harpoon makes a better Winter seasonal pack. Munich Dark is some good shit.Quoted: Is it GOOD? Is water WET? Is the sky BLUE? Redhook products blow Sam away.
Sam is consistantly oxidized and I have yet to have a bottle that does not have "off" flavors. If you want a great fall beer, pick up some Redhook Late Harvest. If you want a great winter ale pick up some Redhook Winterhook. Longhammer IPA is one of the best IPA's out there and the rest of their products generally kick ass. I will say that Sam light is drinkable for what it is. |
