Is this stuff any good?  Looking for something good that is widely available.  Suggestions?

IMO .. it is EXCELLENT.  I aim to stock up on the stuff.

Too sweet for me.
I like my beer bitter, not sour or sweet.

ETA Theakston's is my idea of what beer should be.

Quite good.

One of the best Sam Adams brews available.

Damn it, local shop didn't have any in.  Went with the New Belgium Hoptoberfest.  It's pretty tasty.

I'm trying to get a keg of it for this weekend!

Is it GOOD?  Is water WET?  Is the sky BLUE?

Samuel Adams does not put out ANY beer that is NOT excellent.

It is excellent. The only Sam Adams I like better is the white ale.

LOL, guess I'll have to keep checking back.

It's a great beer if you like sweeter malty, marzen style beers as I do. If you like IPAs and other bitter overhopped brews, then you likely won't care for it.
For another good malty Sam Adams, try the Imperial Double Bock.

Just had it for the first time 2 days ago.

2 thumbs up.

Also tried Imperial White, and it too is very very good.

Lolwut

Their regular lager tastes like bitter crap.  It's the only beer I've ever not swallowed and spit out.  And that includes the warm Miller Light I had on the plane coming back to the States on leave.

Im going to be the voice of dissent and say its ok.

For what it costs to buy a sixxer usually ~$9.00 it should taste better than it does.

It's not a bad beer, but I probably won't buy it again.

Cherry Wheat-overly fruit flavored
Cranberry Lambic-sour
Blackberry Whitbeir passable, but close to the above
Boston Ale-overly hopped,IMO
Sam Adams Light-better than most, still a light beer
Summer Ale-weak-drink water instead or just cheap adjunct lagers
Pale Ale-ditto

That's about the only ones I don't like though. Everything else from the Boston Brewery is a really, really good beer.
I even like the otherwise nearly universally reviled Fezziwig seasonal, which every winter I am forced to drink by my New Years Eve fellow revelers, proving that there is no accounting for taste!

It's not as good as real German Ocktoberfest. You can taste the preservatives and crap in Sam Adams. It ruins the whole experience.

Dude, I love Old Fezziwig ale!  But I tell  you what Harpoon makes a better Winter seasonal pack.  Munich Dark is some good shit.

I have polished off a case of Sam Octoberfest already, and am now working on a case of Spaten Octoberfest. Between the 2 the Sam is better. Next up is Harpoon Octoberfest, which I remember being quite good the last time I had it.

Redhook products blow Sam away.

Sam is consistantly oxidized and I have yet to have a bottle that does not have "off" flavors.

If you want a great fall beer, pick up some Redhook Late Harvest.

If you want a great winter ale pick up some Redhook Winterhook.

Longhammer IPA is one of the best IPA's out there and the rest of their products generally kick ass.

I will say that Sam light is drinkable for what it is.
