So the past few days I've been wondering why the hell the History Channel has been paying A&E re-runs, thinking WTF is wrong with their programming. Today it just hit me that Comcast changed the lineup and moved the History Channel to digital, cable box required. WTF. I'll be damned if I have to pay $6 a month on each new box. They're officially fired, I'm going online for entertainment.

I still get History without a cable box, the only channel I lost was cartoon network, so I haven't had any problems.

Nope, I have 1 HD box ($9 I think) for the living room to watch the digital stuff in HD. The bedroom and garage are straight to the TV.

What channel? Mine used to be 59, not A&E is in that spot.

Mine is still ok. History Channel is channel# 36 here.

Lots of people didn't pay for "digital cable" and didn't require a box. Now everyone will have to have multiple boxes to see what they are already paying for.

Just got off the phone with them. I currently have the Triple Play (TV, Phone & Internet).

I tried ditching just the cable and keeping the Internet and Phone, but they said my rates would fall out of the bundle price and back to regular pricing which is $10 cheaper than what I pay now $142.50 OTD for all 3 services. BS.

So I tried to end the call with, "OK, I'm gonna call AT&T to see what they have to say."

They ended up giving me $20 off the next 6 months. But I really hate having no other real choices, I can't wait till Verizon FIOS comes into town. AT&T Uverse just moved in but that's crap service too.

And whoever asked, I can't buy a cable box, it has to be rented. The only thing I would be able to supply is a cable modem, but since I use the Digital Voice I have to use their modem anyways
