Was on I-80 a lot this month. Was wondering what others thought.

As a truck driver, I don't like Pilots that much because they are generally smaller and harder to get into and out of.

Since I do the same route every week, I really don't go to any "real" truck stops.

I usually go to quickie marts that have enough room for me.

lack of good fast food kinda sucks when you are in a hurry...but they are generally cleaner, have better parking lots, and better lighting so you dont have to draw down on as many people.

They do now... 30 years ago after stopping at an Ohio rest area, I wanted to grab a shovel and dig my own latrine.  Would have been cleaner.

The ones on the Ohio Turnpike are very nice (most of them anyway).

ETA: Highway rest stops have always struck me as creepy though (especially at night).  Seems like of all the places you are likely to encounter a serial killer, rest stops would be high on the list.  Maybe I've just watched too many movies though.

I did But I did it by calling him  someone else did find him later.

I prefer petro, but rarely stay at any truck stops.  I fuel at pilots, but try to sleep at shippers or recievers.

If you're just running in to grab something to eat, the hook owns all. Except the few Petros that have snack bars.

Walcott truckstop,Walcott Iowa exit 284.  Hands down one of the best.

The highway entrance/exit where I get on I-84 all of the time has a TA truck stop that real nice as far as truck stops go.

Its well lit, clean, has good food and always has the lowest gas and diesel prices in the area.

I usually go there when I need to fuel up my car.

I don't know where the hell it was...somewhere along I-81 going north from Mannheim to Binghamton.  There's this huge fucking place that's like a mini mall.  Restaurants, shops, etc. with a huge food court like seating area.  I'm used to the little fuckin hut on the side of the road.

Don't know if it is still like this but AVOID, EXIT 3 on the Jersey turnpike!! I do not even remeber the truckstop but the fucking "LOT LIZZIES" ther swarm your truck like a human wave attack!!!

Christ i stopped ther strictly because i was out of service hours and every five minutes while i tried to sllep.....Boom, Boom, Boom "20 Bucks round the world!"(Meaning anything you want them to do,NASTY!!!)

I usually cracked the drivers window a little bit and yelled "Hell, No! i wouldn't touch you with my worst enemies dick, GO AWAY!!"

Finally i broke the regs and pulled out of there after 15 minutes and 10 hookers knocking to find some peace and friggin quiet.

I always liked the Bosselman's in Grand Island Nebraska if I had to stop in that area.   Huge parking lot and some of the cleanest bathrooms I ever saw during my 2 years on the road.
