At room temperature, what is the longest you'd be comfortable keeping a Camelbak filled?

I had one stored a year, half filled with water. Forgot I had water in it. No green or black algae. Cleaned it with water and baking soda. Dried it out and used it. That was 6 months ago. Still alive.

Water would last a long time if everything was clean to begin with. I wouldn't leave any kind of energy drink at room temperature for more than a few days or things might start growing.

Setting up a new BOB, seemed like a quantity of readily available water might not be a bad thing.
