[b]Here is some info I recently ran across regarding our friend that stole quite a bit of money from our ar15.com brethren over a huge mag scam a while ago. Below is a pic of someone by the name of Edward Podhorn. Armalites site just happens to have a dealer by the name of Paul E. Podhorn listed from Godfrey Il. If you look very closely at Ed's name tag you can barely make out Godfrey Il. You can also clearly see Podhorn on the bottom of the mag in the weapon. 573 isnt the area code for Godfrey.Its 618 and the prefix is 466-xxxx.Ill have to look up ranch products in the phone book.He was from Godfrey.He used to make an M1A-M14 scope mount.He ripped off people at the local gunshows.Took the deposit and never delivered.I believe he took out advertisment in gun mags and ripped people off that way. I looked nothing under Ranch.There is 3 Podhorns listed but no Edward or Paul Whoops there is a Paul.Should I drive by and see what the mag money bought. |
| Guys, that is him. I have talked to himon three differnt occasions, and he didn't hide who he was. I didn't bring up his scamming money from people on this board, but we did discuss his refinishing of the mags he was selling at the time. AR15.commers who are at the SHOT Show, go get him!!!!! |

I met his dip shit kid at the SHOT show. You can see him sitting in the chair in the background. He was selling something but all I could see was the earrings in each ear. I brought up the mag thing (I was not involved), the kid about shit and then did his best to blame everyone in the world but himself of his dad. The problem was he could not look at me while saying it. His body language told the story. He had an HK 94 copy stamped HESSE. He told me it was a German stamped receiver but that Hesse was tooling up to make them and compete with SW. I have seen more than one HK MP5's. If it was "German" it sure as hell was not HK. Did anyone else meet the kid? |

has anything happened with the fraud suits against him? did he just change his company name and start using his middle name? the story about his mom checks out: Podhorn 05/31/00 Dorothy A. Podhorn, 81, died May 31, 2000. Her husband, Paul, survives. Surviving are sons, Timothy and Paul, both of Godfrey; daughters, Stephanie Kadivar of Lawrence, Ks., and Delores Podhorn of Missouri; and a sister, Lena Fite of Missouri. |

That pic is him. I saw him at the Shot Show & more recently at a show in Belleville IL & Tulsa Show. He's real big on Hesse stuff now. Godfrey IL is close to the site of the BRC. Perhaps we should invite him as a guest of dishonor to be recognized for his contributions to this Board, the sport & the industry. |

He didn't rip me off. Before he took everyone on the big mag deal, I supported him over his short tempered posts when he was having personal health problems and a death in the family. Now I don't have any problem going after him legally in IL for those who were taken. I can co-ordinate here if some of you who got taken send me history & info a lawyer will need to go after. |

Perhaps a permanent tack is in order SHHHEWWW, I would be against that, I was not involved but I do know one thing. Everyone who has been wronged by him knows. That list might be very long, if he ends up being hurt or anything at all happens to him then with a thread also happening to be around talking about how this guy has done everyone wrong. It could just be taken the wrong way.... That is something none of us want. Nobody asked for my opinion , this is just my .02cents worth. No reason to kick a dead horse. I am not defending him, I am just trying to point out the pitfalls of posting information about him in public, the liability may be large. So I would can it. That is the WISE thing to do. Ben |

[blue]He is set up this weekend at a Springfield MO gun show.[/blue] He was set up in KC 2 weeks ago. He informed me that he wouldn't feel welcome at the BRC and he would probably end up having to kill someone or "people". Tsk tsk. Anyway, I didn't want to stir up trouble, but I know he still owes people a wad of cash. |

He lives in Godfrey Illinois, which is at most, only 45 minutes from the BRC. Maybe we should plan a field trip... [red]Honestly, the best way to destroy him would be for those that were screwed over to contact many of the gunshow promoters and give them the details... Most promotors don't want to be associated with any of the "known" bad apples, for obvious reasons![/red] |
