Did anyone else find it to be a piece of shit movie just overwhelmingly full of retard? I watched it a little over half-way and my brain was about to explode. Real look into soldier's perspective my ass. Fast forwarded the rest of it to find more bitching. Or am I alone in this?  |

Unfortunately there are a lot of producers out there looking to cash in on the Iraq war, because there have been several very shitty movies about it in the past few years.
Been some good ones too though. I concluded that "The Hurt Locker" was a piece of shit without even watching it, so I didn't waste my money. |

I saw it and I liked it... it was realistic in many parts and non-realistic in many others.
I would say it is a renter. It is kinda on the low budget end but has good entertainment. To me it was kinda like (jarhead) which sucked but this actually had about 75% action in it. |
| I saw it tonight and although I found the extreme behavior of Sgt. James a bit hard to accept, I did like the way it was filmed, i.e. the camera work. It was also somewhat interesting to see a movie with almost no one I recognized. The director being a female did jump out at me as the credits rolled, however. And if nothing else, I really can't say I've ever seen a movie that centered on Army EOD's before, so my level of expectations was wide open. |

I couldn't buy the hit on the running man-no fucking way. And the PSL probably wouldn't be that accurate. I couldn't figure out why the contractors couldn't shoot for crap, but I figured the EOD guys were familiar with 50s (thought I read something about AF EOD using 50s to shoot UXO or something). I can't figure out how blood was supposedly causing jams. It's a fluid. |

I just have to reply again. This movie is made of fail, faggotry and aids. EOD guys never get out of their vehicle, unless it's to put the little damn robot on the ground. They don't go near anything that goes boom, and the certainly don't go kicking in doors and clearing buildings BY THEMSELVES WITH ONE TRUCK.
At least the guys I worked with. I'm sure there's probably a super elite SEAL Ranger EOD team out there somewhere that this movie was based on... |
