The card:
BJ Penn Vs. Kenny Florian Anderson Silva Vs. Forrest Griffin Amir Sadollah Vs. Johny Hendricks Kendall Grove Vs. Ricardo Almeida Josh Neer Vs. Kurt Pellegrino Shane Nelson Vs. Aaron Riley Tamdan McCrory Vs. John Howard Thales Leites Vs. Alessio Sakara Matthew Riddle Vs. Dan Cramer George Sotiropoulos Vs. George Roop Jesse Lennox Vs. Danillo Villefort My predictions: If BJ Penn doesn't take this fight seriously (which he didn't when he fought GSP) he's going to get cut up by Florian's razor-sharp elbows. I also think Anderson Silva has a good chance against Griffin, even though Forrest is one of my favorite fighters. |
| The man cave has already been prepped. I think saying Anderson has a good chance against Forrest is an understatement. Forrest said in an interview he just wants to survive lol. I like him & I'll be pulling for him but I'm not sure I could bet on Forrest for this one. You just never know with Griffin which fighter is going to show up. |

Griffen just wants to survive and Silva will be doing his best non aggressive performance. Should be exciting. |

As long as BJ trained hard, there is almost no way that Kenny will beat him.
-BJ punches like a welterweight > Kenny lacks one punch knockout power -BJ has never lost to a cut, and I don't even think he has been cut in his 19 fights. -BJ's wrestling is much better than Kenny's -BJ's ground game is light-years ahead of Florian's. There is a reason they call him "The Prodigy" -The one thing Kenny does better than BJ is kick, but mainly because BJ chooses not to kick. BUT, there is always the gas tank factor with BJ. It will all come down to how hard he trained for this fight. |

Also, Penn sure looked bloody to me in the third round of the GSP fight. Florian is famous for making people bleed with his elbows. |

BJ Forrest Amir Kendall ![]() Concur/hope. Add Neer in there also, he is a good fighter. I think Anderson/Forrest fight will be awesome. Forrest doesn't give up easily and Anderson needs somebody talented to make him push the pace. If Anderson is lackadaisical about this, I think Forrest will get him. But we shall see.... |

Also, Penn sure looked bloody to me in the third round of the GSP fight. Florian is famous for making people bleed with his elbows. I forgot about GSP/Penn II, he did get bloodied up a lot, but BJ is still notoriously hard to cut. Even when Hughes had him in a crucifix and was smashing his face he did not get cut up. All black belts are not created equal. Kenny is very good on the ground, but BJ is one of the best regardless of weight class. Watch some of BJ's Ju Jitsu matches on Youtube. He can pull off some sick moves. Scott Bieri articulated exactly how I think this fight will go down. . Scott Bieri: Both of these guys serve as examples of the evolution of this sport, [with] good skill sets in all areas. And Florian gets my vote for the most improved fighter; his run to this point has been amazing. Kenny can decision B.J. with his movement and striking. But the likely outcome is that Penn gets on top, passes to half guard, underhooks the pass side (his head is a counter balance on the mount side), stuffs the already smashed butterfly hook and steps to mount. From here, B.J. finishes fights. No one can seem to duplicate or defend this. Penn wins. |

I laugh every time I see Neer. His nickname around these parts is "tramp stamp." He is a good fighter, but that tattoo is terrible. Almost as bad as "Cock Chestnar" (Lesnar) |

I don't recognize many names on that card, which could be a good thing. Got to Sherdog and type their names into the fight finder to look at their records if you want. |

I do think it will be a good fight, and hopefully Forrest's perseverance will bring out the true talent in Anderson (seen against Franklin, Leiben, and the other guy where he grabbed his leg in mid-kick and KO'd him). After Anderson's last few fights, I just can't root for him (even thought he is a more talented fighter). |

I am sure they are good for it to be televised. I like that I don't recognize them, I get bored of watching the same fighters over and over. |

I see no way Forrest can beat Anderson. This reminds me of Hendo vs Bisping. Those of you going on about his last two fights don't get that Anderson was simply being risk averse since what he saw was easy wins. Granted thats something more seen in boxing than MMA. Where you are expected to leave it all in the ring. But that should say nothing about his fighting ability. |

It is cool to see where some of these fighter come from. Sometimes the UFC will sign a guy nobody has ever heard of but he has 20 fights. |

I think BJ will win, even though I really want to see Florian deliver an ass beating. And silva will put Griffin in the hurt locker. edited: and I just thought I'd add... Kenny Florian is one of my two or three favorite fighters, so I hope he wins. Even if he IS from Boston. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I really like Kenny Florian. A true mixed martial artist.
Not for sure what a "prime" F. Griffen is, but even if he gets destroyed by Silva you'll still see plenty of Griffen. He's a good face for the UFC and zuffa knows it. Florian via decision Silva via TKO 3rd rnd. |

Forest lacks in all of these areas compared to silva, plus he alot slower and less hard hitting. I believe forest has only had 2 KO in his career. Some im expecting probably go to the 3rd round or so, maybe fourth. |

You don't see his ground game a lot, because he's good at thwarting any take down attempts. Even Tito had trouble taking him down, and Tito is about as one-dimensional as you can get. Don't forget that Forrest submitted Shogun Rua, no one thought that fight would end that way. I still think Silva is going to win though. |
| I am really wanting to see Forrest win and Silva lose. It is time someone brought Silva down a notch. The past few fights he didn't even try, and on his back he gets all passive and shit, like the women who come from north of the Mason-Dixon line during sex. Forrest is somewhat of a hero to me, second only to Matt Hughs, in terms of determination. This won't be the first fight Forrest got involved in where everyone thought he'd lose and he proved them wrong. |

Forrest is one of those fighters I perennially underestimate. I think Silva will beat him, but Forrest will make him work for it. I also concur with the person above who said that, depending how it ends, this might be the last "prime" Forrest we get to see. He's getting a bit punchy. Listen to him talk, and compare it to when he was on TUF. That always happens to the cementhead fighters. |
