My University had an "agreement" with Japan, we would get a bunch of Japanese students... They were fricken worthless. That isn't a slight against Japanese students.
I later found out that going to America (maybe barring the really well regarded schools) is not considered a good thing in Japan. Going to our Universities means they didn't make the cut to get into their Universities. |

My junior and senior years of high school ––-1962 & '63––––there was an exchange student from Bolivia in our SMALL class.She spoke pretty good English,was intelligent and not hard on the eyes.She went back to Bolivia after graduation.....I've often wondered about her.
