Granted, it's a Smart car with a Hyabusa engine in it...

Curb weight on a standard Smart Car is like 1800 lbs, and they are 70 HP. The engine, and I paste, is a 999 cc 1.0 liters in-line 3 rear engine with 72.0 mm bore, 81.8 mm stroke, 10.0 compression ratio, double overhead cam, variable valve timing/camshaft and four valves per cylinder. The newest Hayabusa engine is a 1349 cc (82 cu in), 4-stroke, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve with a bore/stroke of 81/65mm and 12.5:1 compression ratio, and 197hp. I'm not sure how much the Hayabusa or Smart Car Engine weighs, but the Hayabusa only weighs 485 lbs total. So 197HP for say 1850 lbs? It probably puts out less horsepower with a different drivetrain, so it puts out what, like 185hp? That conveniently makes the power to weight ratio easy to calculate, so the P/W ratio is .1. Is there really a newer Ferrari out there with a P/W ratio that is less than that? Not to mention the top speed limitations. |

That 430 with a driver that knows what he is doing will run the 1/4 in ~12 sec. which is faster than the 13.19 the SMART put up. Edit: Read your post wrong. Nope there isn't, even the Testarossa from the late 80's is .104. |
