Ive been trying to find some of the electronic ear plugs that go in your ear, not around like mickey mouse ears

Not sure to be honest. I was looking to get a pair of those to wear under my Peltor Tac-6 muffs. There are more size choices if you go directly to SureFire's website.

I would say ok for 22lr but 9mm 45 and 223 left my ears ringing when i didn't double up.

Remember those are only 16 dB NRR and 19dB NRR respectively. And they go around the ear, which the OP doesn't care for.

No they don't, they fit inside your ear canal and around the inner part of your ear, fairly comfortably I might add.
