Well Giada is great for fapping while cooking. But as for actually cooking skill? Either Guy Fieri or Tyler Florence

Giada for the food and hawtness.

Alton Brown for the knowledge.

Bobby Flay for the sheer awesomeness of ability. He's a CHEF, not a cook.

These two are pure win.

Also, the only two celebrities/on air personalities that I can think of that are hotter in person than on TV.

Barefoot Contessa......

I don't know her name, but she used to be a speach writer for Ronald Regan.....

Very calm, quiet show. She's not all bubbly and air-headed.

In Washington, Garten worked in the White House and took business courses at George Washington University, eventually earning an MBA,[5] while her husband worked in the State Department and completed his graduate studies. Originally employed as a low-level government aide, she climbed the political ladder and was assigned the position of budget analyst, which entailed writing the nuclear energy budget and policy papers on nuclear centrifuge plants for Presidents Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter.[6][7]

Registered in New York as a Democrat, Garten has contributed to the presidential campaign funds of George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, John Kerry, and Barack Obama.[27]

Alton Brown, he doesn't have to look in the camera and tell you(convince) how delicious what he's cooking is every 5 seconds

  'Oh i wish you you were hear to taste this with me. It's soooo goooood."    drives me bat shit

I don't care how much of an act/put-on his persona was, he was danged entertaining.

(I still have a couple of his old comedy LPs of my grandfather's stored away...
)

Of the current crop, I like Flay. (Really enjoy his recent grilling shows.)

And, like I said in my Iron Chef America thread, my son (5yo) has a thing for Cat Cora. (No he doesn't know that she plays for the other team... nor what "playing for the other team" even means, for that matter.
)

I like everyone on Food Network except the fucking Neelys.

Annoying as hell.

And I think Challenge, Iron Chef and Giada at Home are the best of the bunch.

Ace of Cakes isn't bad.

On Travel.....No Reservations, Man v. Food and Bizarre Foods are all great.

Without a doubt. I've learned a ton about cooking off of that show. Most of the others are just filler.

Say what you will, but my favorite is Rachael Ray.  She;s always so upbeat.  She'd probably let you hit it at 2AM, then get up and make you something in 30 minutes or less!  Giada would cuss your ass out if you tried to touch her more than once very three years.

I like the Neely's, but their BBQ restaurant in Memphis ain't hitting on jack!

Alton Brown, kinda corny, always entertaining (atleast to me) and he is one of if not the only TV chef that actually teaches how to cook vs you just watching him cook. I have a couple of his books and have learned a bunch.
