I need some help with with using correct grammar. When my wife leaves in the car which of the following should I tell her and WHY?
a) Drive Safe. b) Drive Safely. c) <insert humourous joke about female drivers.> Thanks. |

Quoted:
B - Safely is the correct adverb to describe the way she should drive. Safe is adjective that can describe the condition of a noun. Mike is safe. Mike shoots safely. Glocks are safe, when you handle them safely. Awesome, thanks everyone. I thought that 'safely' was the adverb, but hear so many people use 'safe' that I had some doubts. |
