How do I get them to show alternate text instead of just the URL?   If I insert a hyperlink it always is named the same as the URL.

I haven't been able to figure out how to do this with the new editor and for some reason GoatBoy can't be bothered to put a damn help button in there.

The first box that comes up on the link box is where you put alternate text.  For example, here is a link back to AR15

This is the box I get:

Where do I put the title alternate text and where do I put the link?

You linked wrong.  You got the text correct, but didn't put in the correct link.  Copy and paste a link and then put that in the blank that comes up 2nd.

ETA:  We are using different editors or something.  Never seen that, sorry.

Maybe it can't be done with the new editor.  Anybody know?

Where do I search

I can do it in the classic editor but not the WYSIWYG editor.

I still hate the "new" editor.

For your hyperlink question, I still type it in manually. [ url=address ]text[ /url ] without the extra spaces

Posted in Team and got a working answer:

Quoted:

It's simple.

Enter the hyperlink text i.e. cool link name

Highlight your cool link name text, click on the Hyperlink icon in the toolbar (the chain)

Put the web address into the Source box

Click insert

Verify that you have no address prefix or the correct prefix (watch for http when you already have an http) and click ok
