I found $120 in 20 bills on a sidewalk once. I turned the money into a hotel that happened to be the closest building but I doubt whoever lost the money would have known to look there as I doubt it was either their starting point or their destination.
I have always wondered if it is still sitting in the lost and found there or if someone at the desk just pocketed it. |

When we were kids, my friend and I found an envelope with 50 $20's in it in the woods. We gave it to his Dad (I was spending the night at their house) and his Dad said he would turn it into the police. Next day he had a shiny new shotgun and other hunting stuff in the living room. We were too young to put 2 and 2 together then...

I found $75 on the floor at the bar while I was playing poker tonight. I put it in my back pocket and watched for a while. Sure enough, a guy came around looking at the floor and under tables. He had lost his money and was a bit distraught.
I was raised right, so I gave it back to him. I really could have used the money, but it wasn't mine. Good things will come back to me. |

I was in WV yesterday getting ready to turn onto the interstate when I saw a bunch on money flying by. I was like "Sweet, free money". I got out and started picking it up. I had picked up about $35 when I noticed a young ladys wallet also. I picked up all I could and her wallet. She had everything in her wallet, SS card, credit card, checkbook etc.
I called the number listed on her checkbook and luckily she answered. She came back to meet me at a nearby reastuarant and thanked me profusely. She tried to give me some money but I refused. I just told her I would want somebody to do the same for me. I figured by her uniform that she worked a fast food place. I know they dont make shit usually and I felt bad that I knew I had missed a couple of dollars that were under the car and I didnt want to risk getting ran over as it was dark out. I guess she had left her wallet on her car at the store and made it almost to the interstate before it fell off. She was pretty young lady, mid 20's. Of course I had my girlfriend with me:( lol |
