So you might have noticed that some ammo is showing back up and some minor price drop. I've been watching it and the ammo-whore in me has been itching to buy, but I've decided to wait and see where things go.
Of course, I have over 10k rounds not including .22. If I had less, I might not be able to resist. |

Keep waiting. Supply and demand will prevail if no new scary things happen with legislation. The cost of the materials to produce ammunition are no longer elevated so higher prices should not be supportable by cost to manufacture.
Unless Inflation starts eating us up the acceptable purchase price should be no more than it was five or six years ago.IMO. I refuse to buy at inflated prices. If you got plenty sit on the side lines. You can top your stocks off or do your fun shooting at future lower prices. |

The real ammo whores bought plenty back when it was cheap and still won't buy at these prices. Yeah, I remember grinning as the 4,000 round of Radway Green showed up at my front door 3 years ago-$150 for 750 rounds, not to mention all off the old 40rd WWB value packs bought at $6 a pop. |

I don't think ammo will go that low, but I do think it will continue to drop. For example, I expect that 1000 rds of LC 193 will drop to say $350 shipped which is about where it was 3 years ago. I would love for it to nosedive, but I doubt there will be that low of a bottom.
And yea, I still have no problem picking up a couple of .22 bulk packs when I'm at Wally World. |
