I was driving home tonight, plenty of traffic, plenty of stress. While waiting in line at the intersection, deep in thought, I reflected upon the freedoms so often taken for granted in this country. A democratic vote, the ability to openly complain about our government (there's plenty) and the protections offered by a solid Constitution.
Random I guess. Maybe I've been influenced by the recent posting on Iran. Thank you to our service members out there, active and retired, for protecting our rights. It's often unspoken, but for this moment, I want to convey my thanks for the freedoms they give to us as they serve their country. Again. Thank you. You protect and enforce the core values of our society we often overlook. |
