[tinfloi] That'll teach him to refuse bailout funding! [/tinfoil] |

According to WCBD-TV, the First Lady said he "has been gone for several days and she doesn't know where, but she is not concerned." What a wife. |

Well, his SUV was found at the airport yesterday, and his staff said he was hiking the Appalachian Trail.
Today, he shows back up and says he's been in Buenos Aires... The State I would really like to know what this is all about... |

Quoted: News Conference at 2 where he will probably either announce he is gay or getting a sex change. No, he'll show up and appear to be in an unblinking trance, announce he's happy to take stimulus funds, praise President Obama and switch the Democratic Party. Test case for re-education. |

Eh, the NC governor took off for the Caribbean for a vacation with no security staff a while back. I don't see why he wouldn't be able to do the same. I thought he was one of the good guys too? Limited government, doesn't want the stimulus money, etc. Who knows maybe he was at a secret summit preparing for secession v2.0, or learning about how to manage economic collapse from those that have been through it, or just wanted to see Argentina. I don't have a problem with any of it.
It sounds like the Lt Gov is overreacting for political gain and a future Governor's race. He is starting the mud-slinging early. The governor needs a PR firm to educate his staff on how to deal with stuff like this though. |
| Well, I do have a problem with him taking off and no one knowing where he is. He was elected Governor, and that's a 24/7 position. You don't get any "me time" off. If there had been a crisis over the weekend, we would have been in much disarray, looking for him and placing someone else in power when he's unaccounted for. Sure, the Senate smacked him around some last week, but again, that comes with the position. A failure of leadership. I'd like to know why, because I helped put him in that office. |
|
This is just a standard case of a political opponent drumming up news. He found out that he couldn't reach the governor and has had his name in every paper in the country for the last few days.
I really don't care where he was or what he was doing. This sounds like par for the course for him. Not to mention the fact that there is no such thing as a "State Emergency" as the fed.gov has stripped any sovereignty the states had long ago. There is no need for the Governor to be there if there is not a legislative session going on. |

If you were really breaking a sweat over it you would have found out he was in Argentina. Too bad you don't have a governor like Perdue. That would pretty much end the crying over Sanford. Much ado about nothing. Doesn't say much for the smaller government crowd either. The same ones crying "ZOMGWTFBBQ we could have had a crisis" Trade you Perdue for Sanford? We wish she would disappear. |
