I scanned and uploaded my letter from the VA.

IIRC the money will come the same way you got your taxes.

No check, just a nice letter stating they are still working on my new claim.  I will put it with the letter that stated they would be sending me a payment of $250.00.  That will be filed with the letter that stated they still are working on my audit for backpay due to CRDP that they have been working on since 2007.

I see a trend developing.

I sustained an injury to my shoulder/back and went to the ER when I was in. I also got a skin condition whilst in teh Service. I seperated less than a year ago, honorably, and am wonder if I am entitled to use the VA for treatment. My back and shoulder have bothered me ever since. What part of the VA do I need to talk to? I tried last week and the damned automated doohickey hung up on me due to high call volumes.

You can always file for service connected disability.  It is never too late.

Make sure to collect all the medical files on all your service connected injuries, and if you can prove a history of the ailment (such as multiple doctor visits) during enlistment even better.  That's what they will look at when making a determination.  Usually during SEPS they have you do your VA stuff.  Good luck!

Contact the DAV.

They're the best.  They speak fluent VA and know how to get it done.

How much do they charge?  Zero.

(...and I believe that you have one year from seperation to initiate your claim)
