Do sensors exist that allow for the detection for currency? How do they detect currency at the border or at airports hidden on persons or in luggage other than through physical searches?

No.  They only can see it on radiographic exam (X-ray).

With 100s the largest denomination and the 10k declaration, all it takes is one stack of 100s.  So they KNOW what to look for in packages.

The little strips won't trigger a metal detector, they are only aluminized Mylar.

LOL. I could have sworn I saw a show on discovery channel that said casinos had some technology to determine if gamblers had money on them.

Drug dogs.

That much currency has probably been in an opium den.  The dogs hit on the smell and they find the money during the search.

That is over a .66 of a pound. I have a 10oz silver bar, if fact there is one for sale in the new EE that is just like mine.

If seen it would raise eye brows.
