I like it, you should try La Fin Du Monde if you can find it. Good stuff. http://www.unibroue.com/products/fin.cfm |

Good good......keep the recommendations coming. I am open to new stuff and will check it out. This is some good stuff, but the 1 pint 9.4 fluid ounces has about kicked my ass. I may be a wuss, but cant help it. I dont drink much and its usually just beer and a little rum. |

There's Russian 9% Beer, Red 9 or something like that. Strong flavor.
ETA Baltika No 9 Extra Lager. Baltika US Site. Carlsberg Elephant is outstanding, 7.2%. And a smooth Pilsner taste. |

I was well lit very quickly. I have to confess that I don't remember much about its taste. And yes, OP, the Chimay is great stuff! |

Its an American brew that seems to be the only ones who can succesfully recreate the Belgian perfection. |

Quoted: I tried to drink one of those. One of the very few beers in this world that I dumped out.Quoted: Quoted: You wimps. The Christmas beer I drank in Germany over the holidays was 24%. I only managed 3 liters before my ass was done. Good beer isn't about ABV. In fact many high alcohol beers are sh*t. Steel Reserve for example. |

Chimay Trappiste Ales are fantastic.
My suggestion for the next one to try is Orval Trappiste Ale Also, Boulevard Brewing has the Smokestack series which are bottle conditioned ales, as well. The Long Strange Triple would be closest to Chimay. The Trappiste and Bottle Conditioned Ales are among my favorites. |

EKU also has one that is 24% that is quite smooth, but you'll smell the alcohol before it hits the table. |

Quoted: The Germans don't make too many shit beers. I've never found one that I hated, but I do have my favorites depending on the area I'm in. Tomorrow, I'm heading to Frankenmuth, MI for the Bavarian Festival. I believe Warsteiner and Hofbrau are the sponsors this year. Good times will be had. Quoted: You wimps.
