I subscribed for 2 years a few years ago. It started to drop off some so I decided not to renew. Huge pain in the ass  Started getting letters and phone calls from their collections dept, told them to pound sand and they eventually quit bothering me. Would not recommend the mag for that reason.

| Gun reviews by people who, IMO, are not especially qualified to review guns, poorly written, presented in a cheesy format. Kind of like getting a review from your neighbor who knows all about guns because his uncle was in the Army. Never got any particular insight from them. Not worth my money, YMMV. |

They didn't do many test on ammuntion or other weapon components. If they had, it would have been a more interesting read |
| My subscription just ran out. I thought is was a decent supplement to the commercial gun mags. They aren't beholden to sponsors so they do seem to be much more up front about the guns they don't like. Having said that, I'm not in the market for any gun that I haven't already researched so I'll not be renewing this time. |

Magazine sucked exceptionally, marked first, second, and third invoice cancel and sent back. Never received another issue, but a ton of threatening letters from their supposed collection agency. Turns out the collection agency is the same company as Gun Tests, and this is their typical scam! Stay the hell away from them!

i really wanted to like the magazine, good concept.
the reviews are written by idiots that know NOTHING about the subject at hand. if you took david fortier's retarded monkey he has in the closet, gave it a labotomy and pumped it full of PCP and narcotics it could still write a better gun review than the bubbas that write for that place. |

I subscribed a long time ago. Ditto to what everyone else said. The reviews were just plain weird. For example, H&K vs SIG vs Lorcin, and the lorcin would win because of the price.  If they just stuck with reviewing ONE gun instead of making it a competition it might have been better. |

I got a subscription for a couple of years on advice from a friend of mine who really likes it. The concept was neat in that they accepted no advertising from gun manufacturers, and bought the guns themselves as opposed to accepting samples.. However, for me, the reviews and comparisons became irrelevant because it was all about new guns - understandable, but I actually I sort of lost interest in new factory built guns some time ago, so it became useless for me.
I also didn't think their standards used in their reviews were very consistent, and some of their choices for comparisons didn't make much sense to me. After I let the subscription run out, I got letters asking me to re-subscribe. I don't think they were anything threatening but I really don't know since I just trashed them without opening. |
