Any chance that they will modernization the whole NFA background check process? Fucking months bullshit is getting old, they'll prolly cut funding before they make it faster... It's the fucking age of computers and information and it takes months to get this process done..

I could see them jacking up the tax stamp. Wasn't it designed to be like 3 months wage back in 1934?

It's a tax stamp, you should be able to head down to your IRS office and get it.

I think NFA needs to be done with and everything moved to form 4473's.

I remember hearing the tax stamp was roughly the price of a new car.

What can't be prohibited can be taxed to death.  It was supposed to be so outrageous that no one who wanted it could afford it.

Thats why I could seen them "modernizing" the NFA too. More coin $$ out of your pocket for the BHO to blow.

Carrying around copies of stamped forms as proof of registration is a pretty dated concept.  I'm suprised they don't make you carry the actual one, then stand by the 'tough luck' rationale when it gets shredded/abused.

However, at this point, I don't want anything changed, because you can be sure it won't be for the better.

If by modernize you mean abolish and confiscate your existing weapons, then yes.

What cost $200 in 1934 would cost $3183.86 in 2008.

Also, if you were to buy exactly the same products in 2008 and 1934,

they would cost you $200 and $12.61 respectively.

The other side of this is that a low born person like me would probably be living a subsistence life in '34.

Nope. Why would they do it? Make it easier to get scary guns in the hands of civies? Why???

Under this administration there will not be anything with the NFA modernized in our favor, even if it would produce more revenue for the government.

The whole point of CCWs and NFA stamps taking so long is to discourage people from getting them.
