I bought a rifle at a garage sale yesterday for $5. It is a Western Field Model 807A-ECH. It cross references with a Colt Colteer Single Shot .22 S, L, LR.
The finish was rough so I took it apart and refinished the metal and wood. Now it looks like a rifle that's aged well. One problem. I can't get the damn thing back together. The trigger / safety spring sprung during disassembly. The way it looks like it should be installed is not working. I cannot find any info / diagrams. I am mildly retarded at this point. Can any current / former owners of similar rifles clue me in? Help. |

How certain are you about the cross referrence? Aren't colteers semi-autos? Edit: guess not Colt had a Colteer Semi and a Single Shot. Western Field had twins of each sold through Monkey Wards retail stores. The fact that it is such a *simple* mechanism and I can't figure it is really pissing me off. |
