Have a family living next to me in a forclosed home, they are loud, rude, and have trashed the place.. I've spoken to the police and sheriff and nobody cares.. How the fuck do i get rid of these people? It's a fairly expensive home here in the keys, so theres gotta be soneone out there that will take action.. I'm also fairly sure they're stealing power and water, but the utility companies didn't seem to care much.. They don't believe in hauling trash away when it's easier to throw it off the porch.. What realistic options do i have? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I went with a realtor to look at a foreclosed home, and the door would not open, like it was propped up, lo and behold mattresses and food on the floor, a family of five all scooted out the back window. pretty funny

Do you have city or county code enforcement in your area? Report it to them and see what they say. Also if you have any "trouble shooter" reporter? I'm sure they are willing to get a new topic to report. Health Dept maybe due to the trash pile? Either way it may take a bit of time before they get kicked out. |

Burn 'em out! +1 You can go fuck yourself with a comment like that.. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Should have put the Seriously, I feel for you, and I think this is going to be an ongoing thing that will escalate in the near future. Don't know what to do about it myself. |

I figured it was a problem that would have been solved by now.. It's the police job to enforce the laws not pick and choose.. This should have been a nonissue weeks ago.. Buying the lot and tearing house down seems only option, id be interested in seeing if the house could be saved but i dought it with the dogs, smoking, and prolly busted walls.. Bleeding hearts still continue to amaze me.. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

The local cops acted like i was being a dick by reporting them, he said times are tough and people need a place to live.. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile then contact state police (or whatever Florida's equivalent is). Tell them the local boys aren't upholding the law. |

devolve to your african roots and fling poo That would work but the yard is covered in it due to 6 pitbulls living there... Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Check for the number of dogs you can have at one place. Here you can only have 4 (this includes farms even)... so you likely can get rid of the dogs with this. Unless they have some dog breeding license (which I doubt). Since the dogs likely aren't licensed, they should just take them all. Should be a fun time!!! |

Look - if they were low key and weren't wrecking the place - then I could see it sliding - or them at least keeping under the radar. Tearing up shit and acting like trash will devalue your property and they need to GTFO ASAP. |

Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Must be a universal response to these types of situations. I had a house near mine that was empty for months, and had squatters going in and out of it nightly, cops didn't care. Then one night a huge group of kids, maybe 20+ went inside and started trashing the place, literally, smashing windows kicking down doors, etc. I called the cops and described the situation, and guess what? 20 minutes later, kids still trashing the place, almost an hour later the vandal party starts dying down, and guess what? Cops never showed up. |

Are they noisy? Call in EVERY night and complain about noise violations. If nothing is done then file a complaint about the responding officers.
Just be good to go yourself. Also, file a complaint with the city or township and/or talk with the board. Take pics, copy them off, and make sure each member gets a copy. Next time you get a propery tax increase make sure to file a protest and ask for your taxes to be lowered due to the lack of enforcement and the devalued and squattered property. As far as utilities not giving a dang about theft of service......................you are not talking to the right people, trust me on this. You are talking to the retards that take phone calls, many times they are not even employees of the company, just contracted phone answerers. Some are not the brightest of the bunch. You want to talk to the theft prevention people, also have a chat with the meter reader if you can catch them, they can code the address for theft investigation. |

CALL THE LENDER Lehman bros owned it so i was told.. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Someone owns the house. When a bank goes out of business, someone buys the assets. I would do the following... 1) Call the state law enforcement not local. 2) If that doesn't work, call a local Realtor and tell them that you'll pay 'em $20 to get you the number for the bank that owns the property. 3) Call bank, ask for the loss mitigation department. 4) Explain the situation The issue is... they still might not give a damn. At that point, all you can do is make life for your neighbor's "not worth free" |

This is fucked up. While this might be over the top, I seriously doubt you have ANY contact with squatters. You don't have a clue what many of these people are like and what they do to a house and neighborhood. Unfortunately I have the "pleasure" of going into these shitholes after they finally leave. Subhuman isn't the exact word I would use but it's close enough for polite society. Some of these people literally shit where they eat and the stench after they leave stays in your clothes the rest of the day. |
