Hi guys, after i change my car oil today. The car acted weird, when i goes to a red light or a stop sign and start to accelerate again, the car doesn't accelerate smoothly but the RPM pretty much jump and the car make weird noises, it pretty much hesitated to go and then RPM jump and forward it goes. Also after i parked the car, i hear a loud DING sound inside the engine. I've tried very carefully not to get anythin in the engine" dust, debris, etc." and this still happen. Can anyone give any pointer before i bring it into the shop? thanks.

All you did was change the oil? Nothing else? Could you have accidentally pulled a wire loose or something?

Didn't you already ask this?

Drop any tools down the oil fill hole?

That's what I'm wondering. I've changed my old hundreds of times as I don't trust those oil change places and I've never had any kinds of problems. Esecially like that.

You didn't drain the transaxle fliud by mistake did you?

Sounds more like a trans problem and I would check to make sure the oil is not overfull and the transaxle partially empty. If that is the case, ANY more driving will DOA your car.

Did you recheck the oil after you noticed this problem? I mean to see if it is full? Do you have an oil pressure gauge? Did you change the oil filter?
I changed my oil one time and when I put the new oil filter on (fram) and started the car, all the oil spewed out around the oil filter gasket. No matter how tight it was tightened, it would not stop the oil spewing out.
I lost all the new oil. I took it back and got a new oil filter and new oil and rechanged it.  But I started the car and looked under it and saw the oil coming out. I stopped the car. I tightened the filter more and restarted, no good.
But I did not drive the car. I had to walk 7 miles each way to get the new stuff. It took a long time. I was hot. Fram, do not buy.
Check oil after restarting after oil change and then after driving the first time.

Fram is just fine.  My dad taught me to check the gasket on every oil filter before I buy.  Over the past 20 years, I've experienced one oil filter gasket problem (any brand).
