I know that you guys are already aware of this, but I just articulate my despair.
Obama's Supreme Court nominee will be approved. It is unstoppable. Even if the Republicans had the will to filibuster a vote on a Supreme Court nomination, they do not have enough votes to do so. As we have seen, the so called "Blue Dogs" are nothing more than chihuahuas. They barked a lot during the election, but they are defecting to the party and abandoning their promises to their constituents as we have seen with the once pro-gun Senators from New York and North Carolina who now support a renewal of the "Assault Weapons Ban". They Obama agenda is unstoppable. Nothing he has asked for has been denied and Sotomayor will be no exception. There is no chance of stopping her confirmation. The Democrats won the last election and as I and several other predicted, the Dems will continue to ram the most extreme agenda that the left can muster right up our ass. All we can do is pray for the health of Justices Roberts, Alito, Scalia, Thomas and Kennedy along with swift movement on the incorporation cases for the Second Amendment. Change has come and I have no hope left. |

The leftists are actively trying to fuck likely supporters of their opposition while catering to their base, "conservatives" are trying to cater to opposition supporters while not really doing a lot for their base all in order to avoid being viewed as mean or insensitive... They will win because through indoctrination we have been effectively emasculated. There is no peaceful way to fix America, our choices are to stand up or let it die. |

Elections have consequences. And the morons who stayed home in 2006 and allowed Democrats to be elected in places like Virginia and Montana are entirely to blame. Our problems didn't start in '06 big government socialism has been on the march for generations. |

Our problems didn't start in '06 big government socialism has been on the march for generations. But what we need in the meantime are roadblocks. Recall William F. Buckley's quote that a conservative's job was to "stand athwart the path of progress shouting 'STOP!'". Guys like George Allen aren't perfect, but right now they'd be shouting "STOP!" |

Thank God you guys didn't fight World War II. "Waah Hitler is already in Paris, OHMIGOD he's going after Russina now too, he can't be stopped. Where are you guys going to move to?" And just how do you think that we're going to stop Obama and the Dems? The electorate agrees with Obama and like what he's doing. That and the Republicans have no recourse in the congress. They cannot filibuster in the Senate, they don't have enough votes to block anything (which is evident by the fact that they haven't been able to stop ANY legislation or appointments yet) and they cannot even submit legislation in the House. Nancy Pelosi got caught lying about her knowledge of the interrogation techniques at GTMO and no one cares anymore. Obama is taking over GM and no one cares. The Republicans have no way to stop anything. They have absolutely no power and the Dem's approval ratings aren't suffering. The machine is unstoppable at this point. ETA - And this criticism comes from a guy in a state where your "rights" become more and more limited every time you turn around. |

The bad guys are about a mile short of their objective stall tactics may have bought us time but it's running out fast and it doesn't look like the home team has any plans to step up. |

Actually the Dems seem to be steeriing clear of most of the terrible gun control laws the expected to pass this year, although it's too early to know for sure. I guess I could cry or run away... What country did you move to during the AWB? I guess you didn't live in Texas back not that long ago when it's CCW laws were worse than NY's, how many people have you heard of that moved out of Texas back then to states that allowed ccw? Waah? |

I ignored the last AWB. I bought hi-cap mag bodies, springs, and followers and made my own mags. I put together AR's with evil bayo lugs. The last AWB was nothing. Wait till they tax primers. THAT will suck. |
Yeah.....reality is a mutha,huh?

Good analogy.........where am I moving to? I'm moving the selector switch to " FIRE " for starters. ETA...........and as I recall from my history classes.........we pretty much sat back and did squat as Hitler rolled across Europe until the Japs bombed Pearl |

The Dems (Congress) have the lowest approval rating in history, and have for a while. And just how do you think that we're going to stop Obama and the Dems?
This pheasant will vote, 2010 and 2012. |
