I've been trying to decide this for a while, years and the rapid movement to the left has made me wonder even more.
Is Obama (the man, his supporters, his plan and liberals in general) 1) actually out to destroy the American way of life and replace it with a socialist/totalitarian regime or 2) just an idiot who seriously believe the shit that he says It occurs to me that there are other factors to consider. Example: the idea that he is just a puppet for Soros and the like. Also, whether he is either in way over his head (as would go with number 2) or everything is going according to plan (which would go, mostly with choice 1) |

He doesn't CARE about anything other than himself. He doesn't have an agenda for the United States, because he doesn't really give a shit.
He'll do whatever he does in order to please various constituents that he owes political favors to (that's how the Chicago machine works), and he'll try to make whatever decisions he's FORCED to make, with as little personal acocuntability as he possibly can - but mostly he just wants to make big sweeping speeches, get lots of media coverage, and enjoy his ride as American "royalty" and milk it as much as he can. Narcissists don't care about anything but themselves. The only way he cares about the United States is in the sense that he can do something that will be HIS "legacy" - and you better believe he doesn't want a legacy like Carter, or a legacy as someone who was divisive, or who really screwed things up. He wants to please as many people as possible, but is apparently too dumb to realize that many of the decisions he has to make simply doesn't allow that, which is why he will avoid the big decisions as much as possible. |

Of course it ignores the fact that there really is malice in the world, I'm not sure what this is. Of course I don't think the majority of his supporters have malice in their hearts, most are just idiots. |

FOADDL ETA the pic of him not holding his hand over heart during the national anthem does suggest 1 is the case. On the surface I would be inclined to agree with that, but if he was a genius bent on destroying America (or if his handlers are) he would have certainly put his hand up just for the few votes it would get him. But he seems to be thumbing his nose at us, at every patriotic American..."guys it doesn't matter, I'm going to win." AND he got away with it, more than once. That makes me think evil genius (even though I just contradicted myself) |
