for ammo where you are?  I live in Southern California and I thought ammo was crazy here.  Wolf .40 was $21, American Eagle .40 was $25, both for 50 rounds.  Wolf .223 was about $8, Winchester .223 about $12, Wolf 7.62x39 I think was $6, all of these for 20 rounds.  9mm was about $17 for 50.

The reason I ask is, I was just looking around on gun broker and ammo to go, among others, thinking buying ammo online would be cheaper and buying in bulk, cheaper yet.  Imagine my surprise. These no talent ass clowns on GB wanted $200 for 250 rounds of .40 or 9mm FMJ.  Ammo to go wants $30 for 50 rounds, BEFORE SHIPPING!  What the fuck is wrong with these people!?!  Are the high?  Stupid?  Or do they just think people are so desperate for ammo they'll pay almost $1 a round for hand gun ammo?  Either way, fuck them.  Ammo is hard to find, but I have been able to get whatever I needed here.  Sometimes it takes 30-45 minutes of calling around, but eventually I'll find it.  Like I said at the begining, it is more expensive than it has ever been, but it is cheaper at retail stores in Southern California than it is online.  What is wrong with that picture?

..223 when availible is around 90 for 200 rounds in the American Eagle Bulk pack. .45 is 15 bucks at walmart for a box of 50 (blazer) but the local gun shop sells it at 18 bucks a box (independence). I've seen wolf at a local sporting good store 8 bucks per box of 20 (.223) and 7 bucks for 7.62x39. I buy my rifle ammo online and pick up the hand gun ammo from Walmart when they have it.

I get the feeling that you can't really find ammo anywhere. Otherwise, whats the point in bitching about what they are asking on the net? Pay it, or don't pay it.

Since I reload and don't keep up with the average cost of my components I have no idea what it costs to shoot.

I haven't been in WalMart since 9mm > $10.00/100.

I could use replacement cost, assuming you could find primers, but if it's still at these levels when I eventually run out I guess I'll dry fire.

Um, did you read the last few sentences of my original post?  I can find it, it just takes a little while, but eventually I get whatever I need.  However, I assumed going online and getting it would be cheaper, as most things are, but not so.  That is why I am bitching.

I'd say pony up and just pay what you got to pay. Alot of places it is real hard to find anything at any price, especially if it's what you need. Now days it doesn't sound like the prices were too of the mark...order online if they are not out.. you still have to pay shipping and hazmat.

Can't find .22, but it was about $19-22 a brick when they had it
~$16-19 for 9mm
~$19-23 for .40 and .45
~$9-12 for .223
~$7-9 for 7.62x39

I go to PA and buy ammo from walmart, I'm not paying almost double the price that I should be paying
