I have about 100 gigs of mp3's all in crazy folders unsorted with many dupes , what do you use thats good to sort them and remove dupes?  Itunes didn't do the job , seems to have made a bigger mess of the folders.  something wiht no spyware and free!  Link me!

I like Media Monkey.  It's free (there is a Gold version that costs $$), and it permits you to view your library in various view modes, including an "all" subfolder for each music folder.  If your duplicates are all together then you'll easily see them.

I've been using Mp3Tag to retag all of my music. I only have full albums, and this does everything I need. It connects to amazon.com to get track listings and album covers. It updates the tags and then renames the file to match.

It does not find duplicates. iTunes can find duplicates.

ETA: I will be re-looking at Media Monkey tonight. I used v2 and didn't like it. v3 looks nicer.
