Is it just me or have the Simpsons really gone down hill this season.
4/26/2009 4:14:44 PM EDT

I haven't really seen too many from this season...
4/26/2009 4:14:49 PM EDT

I kinda thought they went downhill after about season 3 or so.

Yep, family guy sucks liberal balls now, too!
4/26/2009 4:16:26 PM EDT

Yea Fox sucks in general with no  new King of the hill.
4/26/2009 4:16:38 PM EDT

Normally I think the show is funny, but the episode about Bart and Homer getting recruited and the insults they throw out at the Military and those who join up in that episode pissed me off.

I will drink to that.

Season 8 or so was their last season that was any good. It has sucked for some time now.
4/26/2009 4:17:30 PM EDT
[#8]
I only watched the first few seasons, and when they were part of the Tracey Ulman (sp?) show.
4/26/2009 4:17:37 PM EDT
[#9]
I quit watching when South Park first aired.
4/26/2009 4:17:46 PM EDT

This season?  They've been sucking for at least three or four years now, getting worse with each season.  They're just running out the clock now.

I dont think the simpsons have been funny for a LONG time.  Then again, they are in their 20th season so what do expect?

This is correct.

I say 5+ years ago it went downhill

Well how much do you have to pay "voice talent" as opposed to actual actors?

No wonder Fox has milked this series for all it's worth.

Cartoon characters are cheap!

Tonights episode was particularly horrible. I haven't been impressed recently.

I expect with alot of video games and other CGI out there voice actors are in more of a demand now

It jumped the shark around the time they did the New York episode

The past few years have been absolute liberal bullshit. When they changed to the new color format, it got slightly better. Nothing like the originals way back, but still not as bad as it has been recently. The episodes that had nothing to do with current events were always the best.

The voice actors for The Simpsons are getting just shy of $400K per episode on their new contracts.

More than just about any actors currently on TV.

Wow if it wasnt for posting here I would write Fox and sk for my life back.

I stopped watching the show after that episode.  It was very hateful of the military.  It was made when our troops were fighting very hard in Iraq and it made the troops out to be fools and the military out to be scam artist.

That was the last Simpson show I have watched and it will be the final one.

A perfect opportunity to learn to speak like all of the characters, you could be a stand in for big bucks.

I swear that the writers of The Simpsons have been trying to get the series canceled for the past 5 years or so.

The Simpsons is still on? Who knew?

I used to be its biggest fan. Hasn't been a good episode since 1995 or so.

THIS season?!!?

Only if it's suddenly 1998 all over again.

Longest running comedy on TV @ 20 seasons.  Only Ozzie and Harriet had a few more episodes as of this spring.
Matt Groening's genius had to fizzle out at some point...many moons ago, it did.

While I don't have anything constructive to say, I will say this.

The Simpsons sucks, has for a decade or more. I'm leaning towards more.

South Park owns the Simpsons like a bad case of prison rape.

Just end the show and lets move on with life.

For me, I quit watching when Paul & linda MCcartney were guest stars in an anti-meat episode.

That was probably 10+ years ago.

It stopped being funny to me roughly around the time of Phil Hartman's death. His character's were always my favorite.

I hadn't watched it regularly for seven or eight years, but after that episode is when I stopped watching all together.

Yeah I haven't watched much in the last 5 years or so, but I would still rather listen to Al Gore than watch South park.
