On the one hand, Europe got East Germany... On the other hand, the OP is right - Mexico is an anchor. I hear many of the factories that opened there ion the wake of NAFTA never have been able to produce. Even VW is shutting down lines the way I hear it - Brazil is better. |

I knew kids abroad who went to school in the US, spoke perfect english, and had skills that are in high demand here, yet were denied visas or work permits. There are probably hundreds of thousands of educated, hard working, and industrious people around the world that would love to be able to take part in the "American Dream" but can't get the legal permission to come here. Yet, that doesn't seem to be a problem for people willing to break the law, use our social services, and pay no taxes. We certainly have our priorities mixed up. |
