So im sick, the heavy symptoms started setting in late yesterday. My biggest issue is that my nose is stuffed up, and that annoys the hell out of me. Anyone have any suggestions that make a cold, i guess, "go better"? I use afrin at nights, but not during the days. I just want this shit gone, so any suggestions help. Thanks

Zicam helps a bit.

Otherwise, time is the answer.

LISTEN TO ME.

at the first sign of a cold- the first instant that you think to yourself- "I might be getting sick"

Start using Cold-eez lozenges.

Lets say that your cold, by the end of the 24 hour period that started when you realized you might be catching a cold, would be a "1" on a 1-10 scale of cold badness, and the "10" would be reached in a few days when your cold gets to its worst.

In my experience, once you start with the Cold-eez, the cold stops ramping up almost immediately and fades out.
IF you catch it soon, it might last 1 or 2 days, but won't get much worse than when you begin treatment.

If you start treatment when the cold is a 5, its still gong to have to fade out, and since it is worse, it will take longer to do so.

At your stage, (while it won't hurt) its not going to end it in 2 days or anything like that.

but next time, you'll be ready.
that is all.

Lots of water and/or OJ helps to flush the system. Zycam helps in the early stages. Eat well and often and get lots of sleep

there is no cure

but the advice above is good to help combat the symptoms.

advil/tylonol for the fever and aches

add a OTC decongestant

plenty of fluid, eat what you can tolerate (you need the calories) and rest.

Keep it up, it will work. The NeilMed stuff is great.
