It's a little early here to be drinking the hard stuff. I just opened an Ipswich Nut Brown but in a few hours I will either crack open my 1.75 of Makers or finish my bottle of Eagle Rare.

I'd never taken them before, I seldom even take aspirin .  I'm a wee bit loopy methinks.

I'd love a drink, but then I'd want a smoke, then I gets the dry socket.... Fuck. I'm outa this thread, it's depressing me, and making me thirsty.

Vicodin and vistaril or somesuchthing. I'm pretty sensitive to it evidently.

Kind of blows though, tomorrow is supposed to be around 66 degrees, for the first time since, I don't know, August probably. Would really like to take off on the bike for the day, and that's a negative. I'm riding the couch for the time being. Band of Brothers is going to be viewed start to finish tomorrow.

It's just the 10 year stuff.

I bought the bottle about three weeks ago and it is quickly becoming my favorite bourbon. I would like to try the 17 year but I can't find it in my area and I don't really want to pay to have it shipped.

I like Woodford or Knob Creek, but Makers is cheaper, and comparable. I tried some 20 year old Pappy Van Winkle a few weeks ago. DO WANT MORE! But it's $100 for a fifth.

Hey, 70satvert, you ever try Jim Beam Black Label?

I really liked it.  It runs a tiny bit cheaper than makers, I think its a great bourbon for the money.

I once got to tour the Makers Mark distillery too  I was 20 at the time so I couldn't buy a bottle then but they have undipped bottles in the gift shop next to a pot of hot wax and you can dip your own.

JB Black is the lowest I go if I'm drinking it straight. It's not bad at all, but I prefer other things.
