[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need a decent drawing tool

I want to find a fairly decent, but preferably free drawing tool that I can use to make drawings like shelving, trailers simple mechanisms etc.

I have Google ScetchUp, but it's not working very well, the Value Control Box doesn't work, without easy control of the dimensions, then tool isn't very useful.

Anyone know a good tool?
