I am needing a sound machine becuase of the new baby. He wants to stay up half of the night but all I have right now is the music in his swing, that works good. I don't want to leave him in there all night though so I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions as I have never used one.

You can download various sound files from iTunes. I used a beach sound file on my dog the first week or two after he came home. He slept like a stone.

There is a new invention called a radio, I hear it is all the rage in the big cities, it is a magical device that uses electricity, and somehow causes music to appear where there was none.

It can also be tuned to pickup the nothingness between used frequencies, that sound has been found to be very soothing to babies.

These impressive devices can be purchased at pretty much any place that sells anything for just a few dollars.

Run a fan in the room.  Don't point it at the baby.
