I'm sitting here listening to some choice funk music, and I wondered - you've got all kinds of opinions on this and that (all very cool in it's own way, and I'm glad you post it), but I've never once heard you mention a musical preference.

I think you can learn a lot about a man, given the jams that he listens to. So...how 'bout it? What blows yer skirt up, you know? This is your chance to put politics aside for a moment, and talk a little music. What floats your boat? What toasts your waffle? What butters your bread? What's the peanut butter to your jelly? What's the jelly to your jam? What's the parmesean to your spaghetti, mah man?

Do you ever listen to Subnet Radio?

You can admit to listening to the forbidden music a little, as a guilty pleasure.

So, what's your thang? What makes you do what you wanna do?

I do not buy into the odd-ball misinterpretation of the Bible that condemns rock & roll, dancing, playing cards, etc...

I have a taste for music that sounds good going fast (car, bike (No, not the kind with pedals),boat, plane - you pick)

Ergo,.. Metal... And the occasional more recent band - usually only one or two songs though...

(Checks WinAmp)

Metallica & AC/DC are probably my top 2...

Then a smattering of others, ranging from Aerosmith to Ra & Blue Oyster Cult...

I got my taste in music when I got my 1st Firebird.... And it's stuck...

Mr GTO had the ARFCOM equivalent of a 'controlled flight into terrain' incedent, oddly enough with regard to me...

I have a 1997 Z28 and a 1995 Firebird...

Well, that and the should-be-50hp speedboat with the 100hp motor (CL freebie), the plane that I should have flying by this summer, etc.....

And see, right here is why I think you'd be a cool guy to hang out with.

And you own two absolutely fantastic cars. You're a CAR GUY!!!  A gear head! A GM guy! I don't give a shit what your politics are like, none of it matters. The highlighted part in red is a good story (for sure),, and any dude that loves domestic muscle is alright by me. I'll bet we could hang out, and just talk cars.

And the fact that you're building an airplane elevates you to God-like status, in my book. Holy cow, I could give two shits about anyting else, I just want to check out that airplane.

They are 100 kinds of cool to watch go together from the ground up. I know a guy that has been working on one for ~ two years and he's hoping to finish it late this year. Quite a process to witness.

Subnet, I love ya bro, but you sound way to eager to hang out with Dave. It's man-crush-like.

I'm guessing the Mormon Tabernacle Choir... but only their old stuff, before they got all radical!

ETA:  I knew that Dave_A had to have some cool points in him because 1) he hangs out here. and 2) He likes Trans-Am's.

To know he likes listening to the same stuff I do is now confirmation.   BTW I was an aircraft mechanic before I started flying them too.
