Have any of you been following the Confiker computer virus? Supposedly millions of computers are infected with this virus and they go out each day looking for instructions on what to do (kind of like a sleeper cell). Supposedly tomorrow their will be instructions telling all the infected computers what to do.

So how do they know that these instructions are coming tomorrow?

Windows has the removal program so you can update from there. Other software probably too. Maybe this is this aforementioned attack on Washington by alkaida. Maybe it will erase all the arfcom data from FBI computers

Or maybe just run the system updates that close off the security hole it exploits.

The updates have been available since BEFORE the worm started to spread.

Anyone it really nails was askin for it.
