Just got this thing and took it out today to play.
Almost every time I let the charge handle go it does this...........

It will eject a round and load one every now and then but mostly does this.
Do I need to use 3" shells.
I tried loading the spent 2 3/4 shells and they seem to at least enter the chamber better.
It seems that the longer ones will load easier.
Help!
Thanks in advance.

No experience with the 20s, I've heard quality is poorer than the 12s.

The folks at http://forum.saiga-12.com may be more useful than ARFcom GD, though
Obviously, I lied. Shoulda known better
Still, saiga-12.com is worth checking out for any Saiga owner if you haven't

There are different magazines for 2 3/4 and 3in. shells.  They have the designation molded on them in mm.   As I remember it's 70 for 2 3/4 and 76 for 3.  I read that they came from Russia with both, but one mysteriously got lost when the importer had posession.

ETA  Neat guns when you can get them to work right.

I could fix it with a dremel.

Looks like your magazine is stamped 20 - 76

I would try 3" shells
