If the alarm goes off because some douche was smoking in the bathroom, the trucks still roll to go check it out. Firefighters don't generally use their trucks for snack/coffee runs. That's what EMS is for.

The property owner has the right to have you towed if you are improperly parked in the fire lane, but he has to be the complaintant. It is on private property, so it isn't like the cops would drive by and see you parked there and ticket you. A while ago, some genius decided it would be a good idea to give us a ticket book for folks parking in "our" spot. Thankfully that was a non-starter. |
