Damn deer don't know their safety rules.  That's why they don't rule the world.

I hit at least 3 or 4 a year back home. The lights and sirens don't phase them. Mounting push bars on the cars has cut down on the dollar amount of damage.

I shot at a deer once with a .50 cal, missed, but the bullet passed close enough to the deer to rip off all 4 of it's legs.

ive hit 8 deer in the last 6 years.
a few years back i caught a little one just right and my exploding headlight edges caught her gut and ripped it open, covering the passenger side of my car.
ive saw a turkey get hit by a late 80s oldsmoblie. feathers everywhere.

Did the officer cite the deer for failure to yield?

Those things will blow your airbags if you hit them hard enough... that's usually more of a shock than the actual deer-strike.

The funny part is that the cop have to partially clean the windshield from the blood, tenderized meat, and bambi shit. Then go to the central and hold his tongue while their partners bust in laugh watching the video.

A little off topic,  but...  I saw a Buick at a friends body shop that hit a horse,  the horse split in half,  and the rear end embedded in the windshield peeling the roof back,   that car was so full of shit and blood,  it was disgusting.  the driver and passenger walked away........  full of horse guts,   ehhhh

unfortunately i didn't get any pictures of the vehicle,  but the shop owner bought the car from the ins,  and he repaired it and sold it to some poor sucker.

This one was pissed because her friends were running around the Ruby Tuesday's parking lot trying to ditch her, so she committed suicide in front of them by jumping through the side window of my sister's friend's new mini van.

Brownflag penalty.  I shot one with 200 grain Cor Bon in the neck.  Took out a few vertabrae but didn't exit.

Now with .45 Super using 200 grain XTPs?  Much more impressive.  Looks like what a .22 Hornet does to the neck.  Yes, that IS legal in Texas.  Cool hands hunt with it and similar calibers like .25-20, .218 Bee, .32-20.
