I got a friend at work who says lights are normal until he turns on his deposal.
Flips the disposal switch on, overhead light goes out. Flips disposal switch back off, light comes back on. What would you check first? If I find the light is fluorescent and on the same circuit as the disposal, could the "draw" from the disposal be enough to disrupt the function of the lighting? Thanks Tommy |

I had a similar problem with some wiring once and I called these contractors who specialize in both plumbing and electrical repairs.
Seems like they screwed everything up, however, because now when I turn the light on in the kitchen, water comes out of the light fixture. What a bunch of fuckin' idiots. "Larry, Moe, and Curly Repair Service" IIRC. |

Quoted:
ask him if the switch is a 3-way or a single pole... a 3-way switch has 3 screws a single pole switch has 2 screws possibly a 3-way swich was installed and the hot wire to the light is connected to it. hard to say without seeing it Good obervation...... like you said without seeing it. |

UPDATE It was just inrush from the disposal. so does the light come back on eventually with the disposal running? theoretically, inrush is at startup and not continuous. |
