Was at gun show in Grand Rapids this weekend it took an hour just to get in never in 20 years have I ever seen such desperation. If you were looking for gun's or ammo you might as well stay home and shop on the Internet.

Deals @ gun shows on guns are few and far between...

I bought a DPMS lower last fall for under $275.  Now you're lucky to find them under $400.  Forget about finding a complete uppper for it under $600.

I showed up there at 2pm on Sat, took about 10 minutes to get in, But once inside it was so packed you couldn't even see half the tables and was almost impossible  to get through the isles. I believe they let way to many people in at a time.

The cheapest AR I saw was around $1000, don't remember the brand.  If I remember correctly, a Bushmaster M4 clone, was around 1400.

Ammo, forget about it.

On a side note, went to Meijers today, they had  .223 , .22 .40 .45 .357 and 9mm  in stock.  Maybe the supply will start building back up again.

You got that right. About the only bright spot at the gun show I went to 2 weeks ago were:

1. New, complete DPMS ARs for 999 (not a DPMS fan, but still)

2. A few Ruger Mark IIs NIB for 250. That isn't halfway bad.

Otherwise, ammo was about 40% more than you can get it for online.

I kid you not, they had Federal .22 Value Pack bricks for 25 bucks a piece . They are in stock at WalMart right now for 13.47.

The last one I went to in February here in OKC was ridiculous... Prices on everything were laughable.  These guys that sell crack me up.

They, apparently, know so much more than, we, the consumer.  I enjoy bringing them back to earth.

Yeah, I was there. BIG ASS LINE. Last year we got RIGHT IN.

Wasr's were being offered at 800-900 dollars.

I just went to look around.

I saw a Bushmaster Carbine going for 825 on Sunday.

You weren't looking hard enough!

I went to a fun show in Cortez, Colorado last weekend.  It was fairly crowded, but not bad.  At 10am there were 4 people in line ahead of me.  I didn't see any tables with lookers more than two deep, sort of like it used to be.  The cheapest AR I saw was $1K, most BM, RRA, etc were $1400 or so.  I did see a new in the box Colt for $2650...

I picked up 2500 CCI small rifle primers and about 300 once-fired 5.56 brass.  I almost bought a Springfield XM .45 compact, but the line for the instant check had about a dozen people in front of me, so I passed on it.

I think it wasn't terribly crowded because the people in this area (what few of us there are) are already pretty well armed.  I just didn't see the panic buying described above.

Went to fun show in Evansville Indiana this weekend.
Most handgun prices where $50-$100 more then if you shop gun stores local.  Ammo was running 40% more if you could find what you were looking for.  Very crowded and talking to one of the more knowledge able sellers, it had been nuts the day before, and I went Sun.
Bushy and Rock AR's in the $1500 range. Colts. close to $3000.
Oh the 7.62x39 spam cans were going for $200+ for 700. And SKS's of all types $300+.
