As of this coming Friday I will be just another statistic in the unemployment line. 9 years down the tube. I guess I can have more time with my son and more trigger time.

I know how you feel. Got canned along with 33 others in a cost-cutting action last May.

I was planning to retire soon, but not that soon!

Lots of luck getting a job in my field at my age .......

We lost 45 from the shop and 20 from the office. Last October we lost 87 floor and 10 office. All that is left is one shift. I love the OBAMAnation

I'm with you. I was laid off 3 weeks ago from a company I had been at for a year and a half. The only reason I went to that company was that the company I was previously with for 6 years was going under. It sucks big time. I sent my resume out to 6 places, and only got 2 calls so far, and one interview. I'm 26 now, been working in some capacity since I was 14, I've never been laid off or fired from anywhere. This fucking sucks!
