I've got one of these to keep the kiddos away from my nightstand:

Well, last night I put my primary CCW and holster in there and this morning the battery was flat dead.  No warning, no extra beeps, nothing.  No response.

I thought, no problem...pop the face off and replace the battery.  Yeah right.

The battery is on the inside and there is a key lock under the faceplate.  Well I bought this thing 3 years ago and I moved 1.5 years ago so I have no idea where I put the key now.  Yeah, pretty stupid, but so is a battery on the inside of the safe IMHO.

Thankfully I have a backup piece, but I feel all dirty with the mexican carry while my nice custom IWB holster is in there.  And perhaps worst of all, my Para Carry is making sweet love to an IMEZ Makarov inside.  Oh the humanity.

Are there not two contacts on the side where you can "jump it off" with a 9 volt? Or is that just on their larger models.

Nothing.  Just a key hole.
