The IED was luckily placed deeply in the ground which limited the damage, thank heavens.

Hadn't seen that before. Wow! Those guys were very lucky the idiots who planted it put it too deep in the ground. Thank goodness for that! I would think that was a pretty powerful blast to move that much earth/asphalt.
