mirror and put it in orbit on the night time side of the earth, so it reflects the sun beams and we get 24 hour daylight. That's my plan for solving the economic crisis.

Didn't they try that in a Bond film?

If you'd listen to the voices in your head, you'd know that they already have it's just that you need special glasses to see it.

Clearly, you don't understand how orbits work or the nature of the earth's rotation and its orbit around the sun.

Where would you get the raw material for it?

Are you thinking of the orbital weapon made of diamonds? Or the space station used to house the beginning of the 'master race' during the planetary extermination of mankind?

Either way, no, they never tried a mirror.

The moon.

It's not all green cheese.

Of course it is.

So, a giant object in a stable earth orbit that reflects sunlight on to the earth at night?

Would it look kinda like this?

He said a GIANT mirror.

That thing's not nearly big enough.

Then it would be impossible for me to escape from all of the man made crap and garbage I see everywhere. Imagine not being able to go outside and look at the stars. If they ever do anything like this forget about astronomy and spotting threatening asteriods. Maybe we will get lucky and one of those missed asteroids will teach us a lesson about respecting the natural order.

You need to see some more Bond films.. They've made several since the 70's.. Yes, they did it in "Die Another Day".

Better yet why dont we use a giant magnifying glass and follow you everywhere with it?
You getting hot yet?

It's already been done, what do you think happened to Alaska?

It was a Government experiment designed to make it impossible for the Russians to attack us under cover of darkness. Unfortunatley, the constant daylight made all the people in Alaska fucking nuts!

Seriously, you ever dated a chick from Alaska? Holy crap.

Could be, "Die Another Day" was a disgrace to the Bond series. I typically act as if it doesn't exist, kind of like Terminator 3.

Because the last time they put a mirror into orbit, the results were less than stellar.
