Their "fees" are ridiculous.  The latest example, a "low dough" show sponsored by the local rock station.  Tickets $9.89 each.  Cheap, right?

Tickets

Total Convenience Charge(s) US $9.89 x 2

A 100% fucking tax.  Ordered a Black Label Society ticket last week, ticket was $30, ended up having to pay $47.

It will most likely get worse before it gets better... Ticketmaster is in the process of being taken over, pending anti-trust review.

I thought it was Ticketmaster buying Live Nation, making it the largest ticket vendor in the world?

There are a few reasons I dont go to concerts.

The biggest one is the ridiculous price of tickets after all the fees and such.

I ordered tickets for the Slipknot concert next week here in Atlanta. The tickets were $37.50 a piece and my total ended up being $101.50. I ordered some for the Mayhem Fest this past august it was just as bad.

I went to see Metallica with my girlfriend.  Tickets for the highest section in the Sprint Center were, I think, $55 a piece.  We ended up paying $137 after all the fees.

I bought tickets one time and the concert was cancelled. I drove about 40 miles for a refund and they wouldn't give the handling charges back.

You're already getting ripped off for BLS tickets, what's a little bit more from Ticketmaster?
