Has anyone actually received monies back that your state has been holding?
I got an email from a buddy of mine to check the Washington State Dept. of Revenue Unclaimed Property Department to see if I was owed any money. Low and behold, I do seem to be owed some money. "Over $100" to be exact 
So I did my due diligence and figured out that this isn't a scam and sent them the required info. So, has anyone actually gotten $$$? If so, how much? |
| Yes. Grandfather who died in 1962 had life insurance thru a mutual company. Company converted to a stock company, he ended up with a few shares. Nobody caught this when he died. Iowa publishes the list every year, some one who knew the name called mom. I looked into it, and sure enough it was for Grandpa. Got the paperwork together, sent it in, mom, her sister and brother ended up splitting just under two grand. |
