Ok, so here is a good random question...
If a kid (age 10) has a serious case of pneumonia, leaving said child hospitalized for a week in ICU before going home... What long term after effects can one expect for the kid to have? Lung issues in the past include asthma. Thanks in advance. |

Could be for a life time or not.
I had pneumonia with a partially collapsed lung on the left side when i was in the 5th grade. Have asthma also. Did not stay in the hospital because the docs were impressed with my parents. Should have though. I am still dealing with the affects of it to this day. Lungs get scarred with every infection and asthma attack. |
